Following Jesus

The usual priorities of Christianity are said to be:

  • Go to church
  • Read your Bible
  • Pray

The priorities for following Jesus are:

  • Walk with Jesus 24 & 7.
  • Read and do Jesus' Words.
  • Commune / fellowship with Jesus continually.

The focus of our faith is Jesus. The Source of our Faith is Jesus. We need to know Him and follow Him first and foremost.

Faith is only faith when it is acted upon. Faith that is not lived (doesn't have works) is dead (useless, empty, meaningless).

While Christianity teaches that we must have right beliefs, they are really pushing ideas rather than lifestyle. Jesus calls us to right living, not right thinking. Thinking truth is not the same thing as living truth.

In fact, the disconnect in Christianity is that people are given the idea that simply believing in forgiveness of sins is sufficient to get future benefits in heaven. But, there is no call or priority in living here on earth as Jesus tells us to live!

So, understand that you are personally responsible (response able) to know and follow Jesus. It isn't the preacher's responsibility to be righteous and holy while the pew warmers just coast along on their blessed assurance!

Wake up! And follow Jesus. Stop this empty religious nonsense, and let Jesus change you from the inside out!

Feed your faith and starve your fears!
